Ring Up Your Attitude

Ring Up Your Attitude
CELL PHONES HAVE BECOME AN ALMOST MANDATORY GATGET THESE DAYS, ESPECIALLY FOR TEENAGERS. IT’S A FASHION STATEMENT, A SYMBOL AND AN INTEGRAL PART OF YOUR LIFE. YOU GO TO BED WITH IT, AND CAN'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT. YOU CAN EVEN TEXT MESSAGE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED SITTING UPSIPE DOWN.
MANNERS STILL MATTER NO MATTER HOW FUNKY YOUR CELL PHONE IS. BASED ON A SURVEY CONDUCTEP RECENTLY, HERE ARE SOME OF "THE MANNERS PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET WHEN USING THEIR CELL PHONES.

MIND YOUR VOLUME
You are in a public place and the person next to you is “chatting” happily on his cell phone. Well ...”chatting” would sound too nice, because the level of his voice can even make a vocalist of a metal band shrink. Some people tend to scream at the top of their lungs when talking on their cell phone. Maybe they lived too long in the jungle where nobody was around. Screaming won't make your voice clearer. Find a quieter environment and continue your conversation or just lower your voice.

RING A-LING-A-LING
Monophonic ring tones are so yesterday. Today, anything that sounds can be used as your ring tone, the latest top 40 hits, your favorite star's voice even your favorite cat's meowing. BUT mind when and where your ring tone sounds. A line from Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” that goes off in the middle of a funeral or a meeting is a big no-no.
Utilize the profiles in your cell phone. Usually all cell phones have a profile for certain occasions, like the silent mood for classroom situations or meetings. If you really need to accept calls where quiet is required, set your cell to vibrate mode. This can be done by simply pushing one button. Be sure to put your vibrated-mode cell phone in an easy-to-reach place.

RESPECT
The person in front of you is a human being that deserves respect. Don't text message, make a call, play games or receive calls when you are in front of people who need your attention, who include the grocer, doctor, clerk, business partner and your friend. Excuse yourself when you really have to pick up the call.

DRIVE SAFELY!
We have seen people driving and doing calls or even send sms using their cell phone or PDA. There is nothing fancy of driving either your car or motorcycle in such dangerous way. In some states in the US, sending text or calling while driving is illegal. If you really are a busy bee who constantly receive calls better plug a hands free set or just pull over properly and start chatting or text on your phone. Remember the road isn't yours. Be smart.
